Chinese waggons
Note by H. Craik to chapter 4 of Tale of a Tub

Swift has exaggerated the travellers' tales of the wicker waggons carried across the plains of China by sails, by adding the touch as to crossing the mountains. Cf. Paradise Lost , iii. 437

'The barren plains
Of Sericana, where Chineses drive
With sails and wind their cany wagons light.'
