Contemporary politicians with whom Fox had been associated in engineering the unpopular Treaty of Paris (1763). Fox received the peerage he had been promised for his services, but quarreled with his associates over the division of the political spoils, and attacked the last three mentioned here in some verses privately printed about this time.
