Maurice Picow grew up in Oklahoma City, U.S.A., where he attended Harding High School, where he was active on the school newspaper staff, and Oklahoma City University, where he received a B.S. Degree. Following graduation, Maurice embarked on a career as a real estate broker before making the decision to make Aliyah to Israel.
After arriving in Israel in October 1974, and attending a language school to learn Hebrew, Maurice worked in a variety of occupations until starting his own insurance business in 1980. In addition to being involved in insurance, Maurice has also been involved in international moving and relocation services for well known Israel international moving companies.
Maurice became interested in writing news and commentary articles in the late 1990's, and regularly sends submissions to local and international newspapers, including The Jerusalem Post and the International Herald Tribune, as well as being a regular contributor to international web blog sites. He has also written a non-fiction study on Islam and a two volume adventure novel.
